Hi all Under 8s and Under 10s,

As many of you will have seen from the emails sent by Nissan Arena, there have been some issues at the facility this term.

I’ve now received notification from Nissan that they will not be renewing our court hire on Mondays, Wednesdays, or Fridays for Term 2.

On Wednesday, one of our children ran across the court used by the disability program and jumped over their equipment to retrieve a ball. We also had someone shooting on the netball hoops again. This was also mentioned to me by a Rockets family. These incidents have contributed to Nissan’s decision.

This will have a flow on effect. With Runcorn State High School not expected to be completed until the end of May, we will need to train for the first five weeks of the winter season at the outdoor courts at MacGregor State High School.

There will also be changes to court allocations for other age groups, and I’ll include those details in this week’s newsletter.

I appreciate everyone’s cooperation as we make sure our club continues to be a positive environment for all.
