Hi all Under 8/10,

As the season ends, I wanted to provide you with an update on the latest happenings.

Games

This Saturday the 8th of June, the Under 8 will be playing at Runcorn. It will be an exciting match as the Rockets teams will be facing each other. The Under 10 have finished their games for the season as Southwest have no games scheduled for them this weekend or next weekend.

Training

Please note that all Under 8/10 will still have training sessions this week and next week. Our last training session will be on the 14th of June. As with every season end we will be having the mums play the kids. Next week on each day Monday/Wednesday/Friday the mums will play the children in a game instead of our normal "Red Rover" game at the end of the session. So mums don't forget to bring proper shoes for playing and limber up before you come.

Registration and fees

I hope you all had a fantastic season! Just a reminder that registrations for the next season are now open.

In Season 1 there were 17 weeks allocated and in Season 2 there are 20 weeks. Rockets will not be increasing the prices for season 2 because of the extra 3 weeks, the fees will be the same price as season 1.

To put it into perspective Rockets weekly invoice for all our games to Southwest Metro is currently $5,100 per week without the cost of venue hire for training which sits around $500 per week. This was only possible because of our wonderful sponsors.

Start of next season

We will be hosting a "Welcome Day" on the 6th of July at Runcorn State High School. Each age group will have a designated time to attend. This will be about getting together after the holidays, picking up any winter gear or shorts and shirts and the kids having a bounce around. Dunk Star have a holiday camp specialising in ages 5 - 14 with outstanding coaches

Rockets do get a discount so please email them first and inform them you are from Rockets to get the discount
