Welcome to Runcorn Rockets 2024 - Season 1!
We’re a not-for-profit club run entirely by volunteers. All the money we collect goes towards supporting your children's basketball activities. Below is some key information for all Rockets members.
Game Times
Throughout the season, game times and venues will be available via the:
-Basketball Connect App (Download from the App Store or Google Play)
Login and search for ‘Runcorn Rockets’. Then add your child's team number RRxxxxx. (This will be confirmed after the Grading Day.)
Training
Training times will be communicated by Age Coordinators, Coaches or Managers and a timetable will become available on our website from mid January.
All team communication will be done via your team’s WhatsApp Group. An invite link will be sent to each team during the initial weeks of season. Please make sure all parents/guardians and players aged 13 and above have downloaded WhatsApp from App Store or Google Play.
Score Bench Duty
South West Metro requires that every team must have someone on the score bench during games. Managers will create a roster for your team so that each family will only need to do it twice per season. It's easy, fun and we'll always help where required. Teams may be penalised if no scorer is provided.
Season 1 2024
Here's some important information for the start of the upcoming season:
· Trial Day is on Saturday 20th January at Runcorn High School
o The schedule for the day is below:
o Teams, Coaches and Training Locations to be finalised
o Merchandise will be available on the day including Rockets Shorts (compulsory) and our NEW Training Shirt by New Balance
· Teams need to be submitted to SWM by 24th January
· Training starts the week of 29th January
· Games start on 2nd and 3rd February
· There will be 4 trial/grading games where teams, players, and their respective divisions may be adjusted by the club and/or association.
